Composite Deck, Full Width Lighted Stairs & Bench Seating

Constructed from spruce, the original deck on this home had deteriorated over time and required replacement. The new design adds an additional 110 SF of deck space including 4 additional concrete pilings and a re-enforced 3 ply main beam as well as all new pressure treated joists, rim board and span blocking etc.

The new framework was surfaced with composite decking including a picture frame border, horizontal end skirting including two 17′ benches stepping down 4 x 33′ illuminated stairs into a beautifully treed backyard. The existing lattice and trellis work was in good structural shape and was retained for future creeping vines and vegetation.
